Introduction on FilmNatie

FilmNatie is an independent production company that is curious and inquisitive. This is apparent in a wide range of topics, in what drives the people and the societies that are portrayed and in the passion of everyone who contributes to the final output. For FilmNatie this is the only way to tell the stories that need to be told. These stories deserve a qualitative and in-depth treatment, from an alternative point of view or with a headstrong look on reality and on what is possible. For FilmNatie this concept of ‘the possible’ is relative. FilmNatie explores the bounds of possibility, crosses frontiers, looks across borders. The enriching connection with unknown cultures, people and nations turns the world into a more comprehensible place. In a modest attempt to show the world to the world, FilmNatie commits to finding the appropriate approach for delivering audio-visual products from your ideas.

Staff Members

FilmNatie has grown out of the expertise and concepts of Renaat Lambeets and Kristel Dotremont. Renaat Lambeets has been a cameraman, Director of Photography and producer of documentary films for over 30 years. He put his working knowledge in an independent vehicle for the realization of novel projects that depict true stories and adhere to high-quality film standards. Kristel Dotremont studied documentary and journalism at the Brussels filmschool RITS. Establishing FilmNatie after a 15-year period of busy audio-visual industry activities, she aims to expand the production facilities for documentary films in particular.
